    Question:

When these companies make foolish decisions and need to get bailed out, will the government come to my rescue next time I do something foolish with my money? THAT'S A BIG HELL NO!

Exactly. And the reason being is that you don't have a high powered lobbyist.

Now I am not talking anytime soon, probably 20-30 years down the road. I do think it was better bail out, as much as I generally hate stuff like this, than just letting it fold all together. </div></div>

I hope you're right, but I bet the plan does nothing to change the core problem - that being incompetence and greed.

Let the market it run its course. This is a capitalist economy, well it's supposed to be one anyway.

I don't agree with us bailing them out at all.

Re: Your thoughts on the bailout?

I actually think it is gonna take a crash and complete failure of the market much like it was in 1929 in order to get America back on its feet. And even with that, it still took a war to bring us back from the brink. It was greed and corruption back then, just like it is now.

The difference is that now we've already put our selves in a hole with a war...don't see another one helping out the economy.

Re: Your thoughts on the bailout?

Just wondering what would happen without a bailout (WHat exactly would a crash do)

I assume that lots of people will lose there overpriced homes.......Banks will be tighter than a nun with lending for thw next several years forceing people to live withing there means (Companys will not be able to borrow as much eather which could lead to job losses but would also force Companys to trim the FAT)......Banks do not really want the Homes that they have forclosed on and will seel them MUCH CHEAPER and Banks will still be loaning money al be it at a higher intrest rate meaning that the intrest paid on CDs and saveing accounts will go up enchuging people to save.....It MAY take a long time for stocks to fully recover which could be bad news for many consdering that 401Ks are most peoples main retirement plan.

A bailout would probable head alot of this off shortterm but IMHO it is a patch rather than a fix.

Some of you guys with Economics degrees please fill us regular people in on what a bailout/no bailout will do
